"I would teach children music, physics, and philosophy; but most importantly music, for the patterns in music and all the arts are the keys to learning”--Plato
Experts in early childhood development have demonstrated that music is more than just fun for children. Studies show music creates new neurological paths in the brain and stimulates the brain in a variety of ways, such as enhancing the development of memory and is associated with higher forms of intelligence such as abstract thinking, mathematics and science.
Attending the class will expose children to important aspects of music-making: moving in rhythm, listening, singing, developing social skills, learning about fast and slow, soft and loud, as well as using music and movement as forms of creative expression.
